Shine for Shelterbox let’s the light in

ShelterBox is an international charity that provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis.

The ShelterBox team asked The Happy Seven team led by Philippa Paterson and Nina Whitby to develop and deliver a new creative route for a community fundraising campaign that could be rolled out over the Winter as a pilot.

Launched in November 2015, Shine for ShelterBox asked people in the SouthWest to ‘Get together to brighten lives’ by hosting a candlelit supper for friends and family. As well as devising the campaign route, The Happy Seven delivered a fundraising toolkit, website and social media content and a media toolkit.

Owl‘n’Wolf worked with The Happy Seven to create a distinct brand and look and feel for the campaign.

The response to the pilot campaign among the target audience has been excellent with the target for fundraising exceeded, national partners such as Fifteen, St Eval Candles and Rick Stein on board and a national roll-out planned for 2016.
