Proudest moments:

Martin Williams is a Chartered Marketer with over twenty years experience gained at such companies as Bertelsmann, the LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments. Martin spent much of his career on the LEGO brand, in the UK and internationally, across toys, software and visitor attractions. As Sales and Marketing Director of LEGOLAND Windsor, he developed the UK site to be the most successful LEGOLAND park in the world. He held the same position at the Eden Project, before becoming a freelance advisor on marketing strategy, with clients ranging from a major Hollywood studio to small boutique companies across many industries. He holds a Masters degree in Marketing and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Seven things that make me happy:

  • 1 Hiking the Cornish coast or mountains of Wales with my better half
  • 2 Anything geeky – movies, books, games…
  • 3 Building LEGO models with the kids
  • 4 Doing interesting work where I feel I’ve made a positive difference
  • 5 A night in the pub with old friends
  • 6 Good, simple, clear design and communication
  • 7 Drawing cartoons (which almost became my career at one point)
