Proudest moments:

Suzie is a communications expert and writer with banks of social media and digital experience. Her journalist career started at the tender age of 17 when she wrote her first front page for a local newspaper. Since then she's gone on to produce Arsene Wenger’s Magic Hat, the official highlights DVD for Arsenal FC’s double-winning 2001-2002 season, successfully launch JVC’s brand new Everio camcorder to international technology journalists in Prague and watched folks queue around the corner when the V&A’s Story of the Supremes exhibition launched in Blackpool (following her successful marketing and PR campaign). Her work for Blackpool Council won her a place on the CIPR award shortlist. Her work secured Blackpool coverage in national and international media from Sky News to the New York Times and the Guardian to the One Show for Blackpool Council’s arts and heritage projects. She has also developed and implemented The Eden Project’s first Internal Communications strategy and saw a rise in employee engagement and staff satisfaction with communication across the charity’s 600+ staff. More recently, Suzie has achieved a distinction in my Professional Writing MA and secured national PR coverage for clients in Cornwall including Tom Raffield and Amelies, Porthleven following rigorous periods of content marketing and story development.

Seven things that make me happy:

  • 1 A day on the slopes, knee-deep in powder
  • 2 Finding time to read and write fiction
  • 3 Helping people
  • 4 Tea… preferably with cake
  • 5 Exploring new places
  • 6 Fish and chips on the beach on a school night, followed by a paddle in the sea
  • 7 Sunshine, friends, a beer and great live music
